seconding that

If you think that evidence of climate change is "bad science" someone's been telling you fairy stories. Check out this little thing called the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, http://www.ipcc.ch/) 2007 report - thats a UN branch btw. Understand that all the climate models INCLUDE natural causes such as volcanoes (which actually tend to cause cooling), solar activity, and so on. The simple fact is that human activity completely blows away any contributions from natural sources.
And a final point of interest:
I'm sure everyone's heard about the sea level rise thats predicted, a couple of meters at the least they say. Well get this: these predictions are based on old models that DIDN'T include ice melt of any sort. We are already committed to about 2 meters sea level rise (which puts most of Bangladesh under water) PURELY from the expansion of ocean water with increasing temperature (materials expand when they heat up, ask a physicist. Well i am a physics student, but ask another one if you don't believe me). When you factor in things like the Greenland icecap melting, things get really scary.
So yeah, no action is too small or too soon.
