Earth Hour: International movement to conserve one-hour of domestic electricity
I just found out about Earth Hour. It's an international event to get people to switch off their lights from 8-9 pm (whatever timezone you are in). It's happening THIS SATURDAY the 29th of MARCH. Check out the website at www.earthhour.org. Let's get the student climate change project involved with the larger international community of conservation. Not gonna be home on Saturday night from 8-9? What about getting a big group together and getting the local pub to turn it all off for an hour and exchange watts for tealights?
Last year 2.2 million people shut off their lights for one hour to show their awareness towards global warming. If we can help to spread the awareness, we can become a part of a great cause that will help to preserve the earth!
What can you do?
Turn off your lights!
Peace and Love,
Nadia
