The Student Climate Project
The Student Climate Project is an open network of students who came together at the Heathrow Climate Camp in 2007. Our aim is simple: we want to see a mass student uprising against climate change, that is both creative and radical. If you share this aim then get involved. Central to our process is non-hierarchy and consensus decision making, meaning everyone gets an equal chance to contribute to our work.
Right now, we have two exciting projects in the pipeline, and we need loads of people to get involved with both:
A Student Café will be held at the Climate Camp, providing a space to students to network, socialise, attend workshops, and plan for action.
An exciting Guerrilla Art Campaign is currently being planned, and we are planning our launch for August the 1st. We would say ‘watch this space’,
but don’t do that. Instead, get involved in making it happen. Click here to read more.
We have also been doing outreach events on university campuses, seeing a flurry of cakes, theatre, banner dropping, and chatter, see entries under "tour".
The best way to get involved is to come along to one of our gatherings. All our welcome at these, and they’ve proven to be great social events as well as places to get a lot of hard work done. Click here to read more.
